Avatar is a 3D science fiction epical movie directed by James Cameron, due to be released on December 16, 2009 by 20th Century Fox. The movie is Lightstorm Entertainment's newest undertaking, and centers on an epical dispute on a far-away world known as Pandora, where human beings and the indigene species of Pandora, the Na'vi, enlist in war about the planet's natural resources and existence.
The movie will be published in 2-D and 3-D formats, together with an IMAX 3D release in chosen theaters.

The story protagonist, Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), is an older Marine who was injured and paralysed from the waistline down in battle upon duty on Planet Earth. There he contacts with a young Navi female, Neytiri, whose beauty is only coupled by her fierceness in combat. Over time, Jake incorporates himself into Neytiri's tribe, and starts to fall in love with her. As a consequence, Jake discovers himself captured between the military-industrial powers of Earth, and the Navi, coercing him to pick out sides in an heroic conflict that will determine the destiny of an entire world.
